For a World in Peace
Invitation by Venerable Dagpo Rinpoche

Citizens of every continent and every culture, together let us express our wish for peace in the world, while respecting each individual and recognizing their dignity.

Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.
“Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind…” sixty years ago this statement was made in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Everyday for over 2,500 years Asians have repeated: “If only all living beings could be free from suffering, if only all living beings could have happiness and the causes of happiness. I will ensure that this is so.

Wednesday, June 25, join us in Paris, the birthplace of Human Rights, in support of these principles and together let us express our desire that all beings coexist in harmony!

Whether laic or religious, we will unite our voices to achieve universal peace and happiness, by means of songs, poems, prayers or wishes.

For the rapid spread of peace and prosperity in all countries across the world;
Afghanistan, Cameroon, Chad, Chechen Republic, China, Columbia, Darfur, Egypt, El Salvador, Haiti, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Ivory Coast, Kosovo, Mali, Mauritania, Mexico, Morocco, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Republic of Congo, Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tibet, Vietnam…

For the progression of humanity and the dissipation of oppression ;
war, genocide, tyranny, poverty, famine, physical and mental illness, addiction, corruption, murder, abduction, hostage situations, deprivation of liberties, physical and psychological torture, exile, rape, slavery, racism, xenophobia, segregation, homophobia, mistreatment, difficulties of growing old, unemployment, harassment, no access to education, medical attention or lodging, loneliness, depression, separation…

In order to preserve the environment for the youth of today and future generations, and to bring an end to the overexploitation of our natural resources, pollution and deforestation, so that animals are treated with the respect they deserve (as they should be).

So that wisdom and discernment become our common values, so that solidarity replaces selfishness, for the swift realization of all beings wishes.

With energy and conviction let us come together to edify a world of peace, founded in equity and mutual respect.
